The Palosanto creasers are the perfect tools for creating refined creases alongside the edges of leather. Traditionally, the creases were meant to stop moisture entering the leather via the edges. Nowadays, the creasers are mainly used to give your products a professional and refined look.
You can use a creaser cold or hot. To warm up the tool, most leatherworkers use an alcohol lamp, but it is also possible to use a heat gun or a soldering burner.
We have three sizes available, for placing a line 1, 1.5 or 2 mm from your cutting edge.
For a consistent crease, it is important that the edge is straight and solid. Therefore, it is recommended to crease the leather before you use an edge beveler.
