Palosanto Round Awl

Palosanto Round Awl

The humble but indispensable round awl. We have at least 15 of awls like this lying around in the workshop, like pens in an office. They can be used to create markings on the leather surface (that is why they're also known as a scratch awls), but also to pierce the leather and make a round hole. A must have for every workbench!

Just like the other tools of Palosanto, the quality is top notch! The blade is made from HSS-M2 hardness steel, making the sharpness of the point very long lasting.

You have two choices for the handle. The handle from African black wood gives the tool a very refined and handsome look. The Bubinga handle is a little cheaper, the difference in price is only because of the different wood, the quality of the tool is exactly the same.

The handle measures 90 mm. The blade measures 30 mm and is 18 mm thick.
