John James Saddlers Harness Needles

These are large, blunt pointed needles that have been developed for hand stitching leatherwork. The needles are made to pierce holes and can be used only in combination with an awl or the modern style stitching irons.

Sizes 001, 002 and 003 are in fact identical sizes that John James continues to package separately. Size 004 is the smallest needle available. Typically size 004 is recommended for thread sizes varying from 0.4 mm to 0.8 mm. Needle sizes 001, 002 and 003 are recommended for threads of 0.8mm and up.
